The System

HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK?

Currently and in the past the council planning regulations have been restrictive by making multiunit developments in the suburbs impossible. The government has now introduced the Enabling Housing Bill to override these council rules allowing multiunit developments in all residential suburbs. These new rules start in August 2022.

A single dwelling investment property can now be redeveloped into a multiunit development. These rules apply in all living zones in Christchurch, Selwyn and Waimakariri council’s where previously multiunit development was not permitted. The rules allow any size , shape or number of units that fit your site.

Property Partnership will partner with you to develop your existing property from a single dwelling house into a multiunit site.

Using our extensive experience in property development, our systemized approach will take care of all parts of the project on your behalf.
